You see this clock? This is the clock in Jen's office. It's a pretty big clock, kind of like the one you would stare at in high school waiting for the bell to ring.
I took this picture at 11:45 AM on July 31st. Please note that the clock says it's 1:50 PM on the 16th.
The clock doesn't need fresh batteries (we tried). It's just a dud. But rather than return it, or at the very least take it off the wall, Jen has chosen to leave it there.
She says she doesn't even notice it, so it doesn't bother her. Forget the fact that it's a huge clock right above her computer screen.
Every time I go in there (which is quite often), I get completely thrown off. Time holds no significance in that room. It could be 2:00 in the afternoon or 11:00 at night - the clock will be wrong, and Jen couldn't care less. Because when she's working, she's working. She's not looking at the clock, and she certainly doesn't care what time it is.
It drives me absolutely insane. Because in my non-ADD world, time actually means something.

Hilarious! I'm an ADDer and had a nearly identical broken clock. After 6 months my SO finally demanded that I change it. Great story.

Oh dear, I have the same clock, but it's up in my kitchen. The odd visitor notices that it's not working, and I'm like, "yeah, whatever" and don't ever take it down.
Maybe I could call it art?

The obvious solution is to limit your visits to the office to 1:50, morning and night.
I need to install a clock like that, though one that works. Actually, what I'd really like to hang over my desk is the head of that grandfather clock from Captain Kangaroo. The clock might be harder to ignore if it's staring at me, or telling a story.
